New Features found in PrecisionStitch™ v.8.0.0
New features:
Added a new feature, "As Designed" to the File Open box. Allows pattern to be loaded at drawn dimensions. This is a check box in the File List box. The default is checked. If a pattern was drawn at 28.25" by 3" this will be the Height and Width of the pattern. This feature helps custom work. Also patterns loaded "As Designed" maintain their aspect as they are rotated.
To load patterns the way PrecisionStitch used to in the past, uncheck "As Designed". Then patterns will load with the largest dimension at 12". Also the Width or Height will be maintained as you rotate the patterns Aspect will not be maintained.
Added a new feature, Freeze Aspect in Single Block. We added a new feature where you can now use Freeze Aspect with Single Block. This was a highly requested item and will keep your Angels from getting Fat or your Soldiers getting skinny
Triangles! This was the number one enhancement request. To use it open any pattern, click Single Block, Click Start, Click Next to change from Square to Triangle. Triangle will now be checked and highlighted in Yellow. Add a margin if you want, usually you'll want a margin. You now pick Left, Right and Top. Left and right are figured like your nose is facing the top. Here is picture explaining
Another tip to assist point selection is to always pick the points in a counter-clockwise order.
Notice the 3 points you picked (the triangle block) are outlined in a dotted line.
Now if your pattern was designed to fit a Triangle and it looks like it fits well you can sew. If your pattern overlaps the dotted triangle use the new Height and Width adjustments to make the pattern smaller. Then move the pattern within your block back to center by using the new movement keys. It is easy click 3 points, resize and move as needed, sew.
Triangles stay centered as you change their width Makes fitting triangles much faster. The pattern center and the triangle center stay true as you change the width. We advise you adjust your width first then you height
Freeze Aspect to the Triangle move box It makes resizing a pattern in a triangle even faster!
Two decimal place precision now available in Pattern Rotation This was an enhancement request. 22.5 degrees is now possible! So is 11.25 degrees! The Up Down arrows still moves in one degree precision. You have to type the decimal and the trailing numbers
Added Oil Maintenance routine which runs the Stitcher backwards at varying speeds for 7 minutes After you oil your machine, click the oil button to give your Stitcher bearings a treat. We have found that running the machine backwards at varying speeds is very effective way to thoroughly distribute the oil. To use: Oil all points on your Machine, remove the thread past the take up arm, remove the needle, remove the Bobbin case, click "Oil"(top of screen), Read and click ok to the 2 pop ups, Stitcher will now run backwards for about 7 minutes. Click Stop on the head or the screen to stop early
Changed "Minimum Line Length" to .02 for all controllers This will make all controllers sew Polylines faster, not just Mod Es.
Added new feature "Quick Pause" New feature, press it while sewing and sewing Stops instantly, press it again sewing starts instantly. The Mode button changes to Quick Pause when sewing, and changes to Quick Start when using "Quick Pause". Useful for checking tension or just when you don't want to wait for the end of segments. Single Stitch and Cut Bobbin are not available and you can't move the head and it can stop Needle down. Old Pause is still there, but Quick Pause is there for when you just got to stop QUICK!
Added a beep for Single Block and Measure when you select points Long requested and finally here the Beep! To Test: Single Block pick points with volume and speakers turned up. (It is more a Doink than a Beep)
Restart in Record Sew Pattern! A highly requested enhancement : It allows you to restart in Record Sew Pattern. You can use this to recover from Thread Breaks and "Stops". It is mostly like Restart in Auto which I am sure everybody knows well. The main difference is Next will take you not only to the next segment but also into the next pattern. Back only takes you back one segment in the pattern you are currently in, it will not go back to the previous pattern. If you advanced too far by mistake just cancel out and hit the Restart button and try again.
Restart in Record Sew Path! Also a feature that rated highly in request. You can use this to recover from Thread Breaks and "Stops". Just click Restart and click a segment Start point, then use back and or next to position where you want to start sewing. Record up to the new 1500 point Max!
Pressing the Option button when not Sewing in Autosketch will hold the left button down This is to fix your sore left thumb :. It is like a toggle for the left handle button. It toggles it on. To do this start Autosketch, Select Polyline, Press top middle keypad (Option) button, Now as you move drawing is continuous until you press Option again. If you want press the top Right and now your sewing regulated and drawing and your thumb doesn't hurt all at the same time.
Added SPI memory to all modes All Modes now remember the last SPI you used. Regulated now remembers if you were Basting the last time you were in Regulated. To Test: Sew Auto at the default of 12 SPI, then Baste at B1.0, return to Auto and see 12 SPI, return to Regulated and see B1.0 instead of the old 12 SPI. We extended SPI memory to work in all Modes. SPI memory was often requested.
SPI and several other textboxes now use a larger Font Done to make the most important text more visible.
Change Channel Lock angle by 90' while sewing Here is an enhancement several users asked for, enjoy!
To Test: Turn on Channel Lock before sewing Regulated (or while sewing see#15) Sew to the end of your zero degree line.(Don't stop Regulated Sewing) Then while holding "Mode" press "Channel Lock". Your Channel Lock angle is now 90'. Push up and now your sewing at 90'… and sew on. Use this with "Use Squaring Angle" to crosshatch at any angle.
Allow Channel Lock to be turned on and off in Regulated Here is an enhancement several users asked for, enjoy!
To Test: Start sewing Regulated. Press channel lock. Notice you are now sewing at your Channel Lock Angle. Press Channel Lock again and you are freehand sewing. Combined with #14 your Regulated Sewing experience should be Greatly Improved
Trim added to Alternating Plus Big New Feature. : Also lots of user request. Enjoy!!! It works with Alternating Plus for doing E2E.
To Test: Setup Repeat blocks, Alternating Plus just like always. Check "Trim"(below Alternating Plus) and the part that used to run past the Left and Right edge are now gone (trimmed) The Stitcher will sew to the next position along the trim line. If there is a single line where the pattern crosses the trim there will be no trim move (For Example Cloud00 will only sew the lines shown). The Chain03 will see a few extra positioning lines along the trim lines.
Added Trim Tie, when checked thread is dragged, when unchecked a vertical line is sewn This was a planned part of Trim. Instead of sewing on the Right and Left, "Tie" gives you the option of there being a "No Sew" move on the Right and Left. You'll have to clip threads later after your done sewing.
Faster pattern restarts Pattern restarts are now twice as fast as previous versions.
Improved Ties Increased the default tie number to 4. Then changed the default tie stitch length to 23 (A length that is not evenly divisible). These two changes have improved our tie strength.
